When I bought my TBird 1600 and lifted the double seat and back rest I was amazed to find no space underneath, like on normal bikes for Standard Tool Kit and afew important bits and pieces.
I later found out that the only Tools that ome with the TBird 1600 is an Allen Key and a C Spanner, which should if been fitted into a convienient slot on the underside of the Seat.
I have bought an adjustable C Spanner to alter the rear suspension springs if and when required but cannot find the correct C Spanner to fit back under the seat on any Triumph Sites. Does anyone know the correct size non adjstable C Spanner in mm so I can et one made to fit back under the seat?
I now carry a tool roll attached to the TBird with Handy Tools for RIdeouts.

If you want the correct spanner to fit under the seat it's part # T2301448 and is 62mm. It can be ordered from Adept, Baxter, your local dealer, etc for about $13.00.
Many Thanks for that. Strangely enough I had already been on the phone to my local Triumph Dealer but the person I spoke to said the tool was no longer sold. After you gave me the T Number I Googled it and it came up on another Triumph Dealership. So I ordered one from them. Only came to £19. Thanks Again!

My 850 sport tiger had about half the tools that my 800 had . Most notably no axle wrench which I found aftermarket , reasonably $ and top quality . It and extra items from tool collection and it’s just ok . The stock fold over pouch held the additions nicely . Good Guys Autoglass was the business I started and sold before retirement . I bought a few hundred of these canvas pouches as tee bags for my golfer customers .

That’s pretty cool!

Do you not have the toolkit under the side cover?
I'm afraid not. I only had the Allen Key under the side cover and there should have been a C Spanner under the seat but the spanner was missing. I now have a genuine Triumph C Spanner which fits in the recess under the seat.

The chrome thingy between the handles is what allows me to remove the front axle . It’s a solid hex , 22 mm or so and heavy . Have no idea what it was before I found it in my mechanics junk drawer . I would sawed it in half the save weight but it has a bolt thread on one end keeps it in the pouch sleeve tightly .

I never unpacked the toolkit under the left cover but I thought it had a lot of stuff in it. I bought the bike used so I don't know what it came with originally. This was all in that little pack. So you don't need a special suspension spanner that fits under the seat

It’s a dog’s breakfast but it likely has exactly what you need and the c spanner is taped which is good . My R model came with two flimsy c spanners , needed to adjust the rear Ohliins . I covered them from tip to tip with hockey tape to prevent scratching the shocks , double wrap on the handle end and the improvement was huge .
