Almost any 70/80s disc valves two stroke. Yammies in particular
Yamaha , Suzuki and especially Kawasaki used rotary disc valves in small to mid displacement engines.
Rotary valves of other types go way back in early four stroke development , even pre 1900 .
Rotax was probably the primary user of the design since the sixties and I’m sure the Kart engines are still that way . Rotax engines of this design were used by KTM , Aprilla , CCM , and many more . My ‘75 Cam Am 250 had 37 hp when the best competition had 29 and less . The 75 Skidoo I raced in stock class , mufflers, was a twin 247 cc with 43 hp . Just a few years earlier the 800 cc triple racing engines were making 65 hp ,air cooled of course . By 1977 the liquid cooled 340 version was at 105 hp with mufflers , 9800 rpm and reliable . Aprilla used an inline 250 and later a V configuration for moto GP work , 78 ponies .
Bombardier Ltd started using some Rotax /Austria , engines in the Skidoo snowmobiles in the 60’s and as the saying goes they liked them so much that they bought the company .

Rotax engine see a LOT of varied uses today. Many motorgliders used Rotax engines, too.

That brings up a classic .
I had a snomobile customer who called to inform me that his carburetor had exploded , something I had never heard of before or since . When we lifted the cab there it was , pieces of Mikuni all over the place except the spigot which was still held in it’s rubber collar and clamp . Turned out he had used the emergency starter pull cord , another thing I never heard of before or since , when the regular cord failed . He obviously had thrown the light duty E cord under the hood and continued his ride until the carburetor ingested the cord , it got wrapped around the crank shaft and when the wood handle hit the carb the explosion occurred .
