Yesterdy my son-in-law Tom came over to assist me replacing the drive chain on my 2022 Speed Triple RS and afterward we were going for ride. He asked what bike I was going to take and I said "the Thruxton, I haven't ridden it in awhile." So after the new chain was on and the bike off the lift, we were going to roll the bikes back into the garage. First up was the Trophy and I started it, put it in gear and rode it into the garage. Next was the T-120 and it wouldn't start, battery was flat. Well that was a pisser. Pushed it into the garage and hooked up a battery charger and went to get the Bobber. Fired it up and rode it around the block and then into the garage. Pushed the Speedy in by hand (cuz it weighs nothing) and then went to change clothes for the ride. Got suited up, and when I tried to start the Thruxton it just buzzed a bit, the battery was flat on it as well. Double pisser. So rolled it back into the garage and put a charger on it (I have a plethora of battery chargers). So Tom and I took our ride, he on his Speed Triple and me on my Bobber. It's good to have a herd of Triumphs. Next week with good weather I'll test out the new drive chain on my Speedy.

Last night I went out to the garage, removed the chargers and fired both the T-120 and the Thruxton up, so all is good so far. I'll verify the batteries are good later this week when I start the bikes again. I'm attributing the battery failures to weather change and lack of use. Probably should hook up the battery tenders with the weather getting colder......(duh, my bad)

I leave my bikes on trickle chargers all of the time.
