Hi Team Triumph, new to posting so forgive me if I waffle on but I'm in need of your assistance. Also posted this in the members intro so apologies for doubling up but was quickly and thankfully informed this is a better location for gaining your valued assistance. Anyhow onto the subject matter.....
I purchased a Tiger 900 Aragon Edition back in August and noticed a fortnight ago the switch for the rear heated seat has fallen out. I know the bike doesn’t some with heated seats however the switch was definitely installed when I picked up the bike however I’m now in a tangle of words with the dealer as they're stating the switch only comes with the heated seat installation which clearly it came as fitted for, but not with a heated seat but unfortunately I didn’t take photos before it fell out – who knew I’d need them. Anyhow looking online it appears there is also a blank that can be fitted and I don’t mind which they replace it with but again my local, and only dealer, states Triumph do not make a blank. So essentially they’re saying it comes a hole!

Can someone who has a 900 Rally (Aragon or Std Rally) ‘without’ the heated seat option please provide a photo or two of what is in the location pictured.

Asking as nearly all online photos are of the RHS or don’t clearly show the area I need to demonstrate to the dealer.

So grateful for your assistance.

Welcome to Triumph Talk. Can you order that blank you found online? It should just push into place. That would be the easiest solution seeing as your dealer is not aware of any such solution.

Interesting that your Aragon Edition didn't come with rear heated seat as the one I was going to buy had it but they weren't clear if it should. LoL on these dealers/triumph corporate doesn't seem to know what is what.

Excellent - thank you.
I have send snips of the photos to the dealer and now been able to source a part no. T2307136 for the blank.
A whole $1.50 worth of parts but nothing in Australia online so currently pushing ahead with the dealer with race tape over the hole for the time being.
With respect to dealer knowledge ..... :(

I have found three in Florida that are good.
Good? Do they stock things like clutch cables, tires, brake pads, ya know, essential maintenance items? And can they do work like tire changes the day you bring it in? That's the issue where I am. No stock, no way I'm leaving bike a week for tire changes either...kind of ridiculous. Love my Tiger but I'm 99% sure I've bought my last Triumph just because of this. Not to mention the business practices of the closest dealership leaves much to be desired.

The dealerships stock high turnover items. Most dealerships of any brand to include auto dealerships do not tie up capital in parts unless those parts are high turnover, quick movers. That said, I call ahead to schedule an appointment. I tell them what want or need and they order things ahead of my visit. Triumph apparently packages parts needed at the suggested service intervals. The dealership has to order the whole kit for a particular bike. Since I change my oil, oil filter, and air filter myself, I don't need everything in the kit. The dealership gives me credit for the items I don't need.

I make appointments for tire changes and I'm in and out in a couple hours. I bring my tires, tubes, and strips.

I could write a lengthy volume in response. I worked in the industry 1983 to 1993, same franchise that added MANY brands over the years. I started as "shop boy" and promoted until basically I was 3rd in command of the entire store. I reluctantly left to begin a career with a professional fire service. We ALWAYS stocked clutch cables, at least one, for each model that we sold and that were popular going back before I was born! Amazing that this Triumph dealer told me they never stocked a single clutch cable for the Rally 900. I guess they never break? Then I just wasted $40. Oh well. I'm not impressed with this "business model. Not at all. For a store that carries roughly a million dollars worth of new bikes in the showroom, this just blows my mind. In my experience a brand is only as good as it's worst dealership...

Cord...pic attached of my Aragon...with a molded 'cap'. Unlike the front, which is at least wired to go, passenger seat is not pre-wired. I'll be solo on mine, so no biggie. I will be on the hunt for a heated front though. Enjoy the ride!

Thanks for that, still waiting for the cap to arrive. just coming on 6 weeks for something that fits in an envelope. Love the bike - hate the after sales service.

15 weeks and 5 days since first reporting the issue with the dealer and now have a blanking cap.
Thanks to all who posted to help me out.
