I know Neil well .. I will speak to the guys in the workshop .

If my tank is pretty empty and I overfill , it can take a couple of miles for it to register .. then it goes all the way to the top followed very quickly by dropping all the way to the bottom and out of sight again. As at this stage I know my tank is full so it doesn’t worry me but I have to do about 50 miles before it appears again (near the top) . It has never failed to do so so I’ve never been too concerned . It only happens on my Tiger , I also have the 1200 Scrambler but the same issue has never occurred on that one. My seats work as they should after the last software update so I can’t see why they would use a different update on yours.
I will come back to you .
Many thanks Charlie. All help appreciated.

Brilliant, thanks Zuki
I had to stop by my dealer so they could plug the bike in to verify the version...

INST00155_CM

They did say that this could be a specific version for USA and Canada, but this is what fixed my issue. Hopefully it will work for you.

Thanks Zuki,

Much appreciated. I will try and find an email address for triumph to try and get the ball rolling again. This adds a lot more info for them. Many thanks!

I’ve spent most of the week at the Tamworth dealer , when I first asked they said you had been in a couple of days before .. they are waiting on more info from the factory in your particular case. I don’t understand why yours is any different to mine but even the guys in the workshop were scratching their heads.
You would think that there would be a team of people at the factory working on this given the size of the brand but it appears there is one person at Hinckley who is the go to person.
If you want to try another angle then email : [email protected]
I have used it for a different issue and you get an immediate acknowledgment… a full answer takes a little longer.
If I hear anything more I will let you know .

Anybody know if this was sorted by triumph? Purely out of curiosity, as unfortunately my 800 xca was stolen so i no longer have the issue. Cheered myself up with a 900 GTPro, so its not all bad news.

I had just spent so long trying to sort out this issue that i am still intrigued.....

Yes, it all got sorted in the end. It was purely a software issue made worse by Apple. For some reason when they updated the latest firmware on the Bluetooth module it worked well with Android phones but unfortunately not with IOS . Triumph put an email out to all customers telling them not to upgrade your phone OS to IOS 16 because the module would stop working. So I did as I was told .. for months .. and months.. until eventually I thought I was risking my personal information by not doing the security updates (there had been 3 more Apple updates) .. still nothing more from Triumph . The guys at the dealership had heard nothing so I made the decision to update my phone and what will be will be. … so IOS 16.xxx later and guess what .. everything worked fine .. and did up to the point where I traded the 800 in for the 2023 Tiger 1200 GT Explorer … which had the module already built in . The phone connected straight away and works fine. The 800 sold soon after and I was in the dealers the day the new owner bought it so we had a chat and I told him of the issues .. I took him to the bike and set up his phone for him and all worked fine.. My McQueen Scrambler 1200 also connected with no issues.

So the story ends with .. make sure the Bluetooth module has the latest firmware and make sure your phone is up to date and hopefully you won’t have any problem.

Hope everyone that has a similar problem also gets it sorted.
