My 'new' 1972 Bonnie is coming back together and looking at the tyres which are TT100s they are from 2003 and 2013 …….. probably getting a bit hard but not cracking yet.
I want to push the scrambler look with its high left side pipes and wonder if you guys have some input on trial/trail tyres that would both look good and fit in the standard forks/swingarm/mudguards.
Traditional scrambles tyres are probably a bridge too far but some block tyres used from the period might look good. Something like Mitas trials tyre 19” front and rear, perhaps.
What do ya think?

Seek and he shall find. Whilst looking at the tyres what should I see…….

I don’t have any experience with your question, I’m not going to be able to offer any advice. I do have a question though. Are you planning on using vintage tires or new tires that look vintage? I would advise against using actual vintage tires since the material ages regardless of being used.
