Auxiliary Lights

Has anyone installed aftermarket auxiliary lights on their Triumph GT. I jot installed a T-Rex Engine guard and it has an extended end piece with a hole for lights on each end. It looks like the Triumph brand lights would fit nicely with a u bracket type of connector that would fit really nice. But at 300+ for the light kit, it's way too high.

I was looking for some descent not overpriced lights to install on it. Amazon has a large selection, but I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation based on experience with installing and running lights on the Tiger 900. I was thinking of 2 to 3 inch lights (leaning on the 3 inch, but don't want them too large).

Any recommendations is much appreciated.

I came to this forum looking for the same thing!

Feels like the factory lights are a bit overpriced, but I don't really know how well they perform and I suppose I would prefer to have the clean installation that uses the integrated switching... so maybe worth it for those reasons assuming they are significantly bright.

Yeah, I posted this some time ago, this is the first response I've gotten. Sorry, but comparing other products on the market with the triumph offering is at the point of price gouging (I think they are significantly more than a bit overpriced) . I'm still in the hunt, hoping to use the position meant for external lights on my upper guards. But unless I find oem at a reasonable cost used, I definitely won't be getting the triumph brand lights. Just because I own a triumph doesn't mean that I'll spend an exhorbant amount on lights triumph brand lights (that are no doubt made at a fraction of the cost). Especially when I see much cheaper alternatives. Now the issue is which ones to get. . GL

The new 900 Tigers use the CANBUS type electrical system same as the 1200 Tigers and to use the switch and plugs on the bikes you will have to use the Triumph lights and hardware or wire them separate direct from the battery using switch and relay.
I managed to find the Triumph brand foglights for my 1200 and I think they may be the same as for the 900s just different mounting bits. The light is bright with a very narrow(top to bottom) beam and wide laterally.
I would not have paid the over $500 CAN they were asking for the kit either but found the lights for a lot cheaper and just had to buy all the mounting pieces separate.
As far as aftermarket lights, I was looking at the Denali brand. They are expensive, but think they would be a great add on and would last.

Thx. I looked up Denali. A set of lights is 399.00 US. The PIAA trekker lights are 189.00. I want aware of the can-bus system. I know bmw uses it and a couple of owners I know don't like it. The good thing is that I was planning on installing them to the battery, so that should alleviate those problems.
