4-6 Weeks For Parts?

I left the bike at the dealer awaiting parts and then they were going to deliver (80 miles). Sales led me to believe parts took a week to arrive, the parts department said 4-6 weeks. I asked them to deliver the bike in stock trim ASAP and I'll go back down when all the parts are in.

Yeah that's a long wait for accessories. Probable Covid crap delays.
I would want my bike to ride it as well.

Agree with Qship, the pandemic has caused many delays and breaks in delivery systems, production and service. I need to call my MINI dealer, been waiting a month for two clamps. The parts person told me upfront that the parts would take time and shipping times were significantly slower than pre-pandemic. Patience seems to be needed now more than ever.
Sales seems to be responding from old memory, parts from current reality.

For accessories, I’d tell them to bring me the bike and I’d bring it back in 4-6 weeks when the parts are in. I’d be hesitant to leave a motorcycle in their care for that long. I’m not that trusting.

I told them I needed it here Tuesday as I have a Wednesday ride plan.

When I ordered parts it took about a week from the factory but that was well before Covid.
