More for visibility than anything else, I would like to add two auxiliary head lights that I can use as needed. I plan to wire them directly from the battery with a switch on the handlebars. They are two LED 12v lights with 9 LEDs each at 22w each. Since this will add a 4 amp load @ 12vdc, can the 2013 Tiger 800's generation handle this and keep the battery charged? Also, if I am "stressing" the generator which could lead to premature failure, I will pass. I appreciate a response from someone who knows the specs on the generator, etc. Thanks!!!!

The generators on the Tiger 800's are robust. Assuming that you aren't using anything with a heavy draw, the generator will handle it. Triumph designed these bikes with generators to support additional electronics, heated grips and heated riding gear plus non LED fog lights.

Carl, thanks for the reply and info. I have one last question. If I run a 12vdc switch and wire that can easily handle the 4 amp load, is there any other reason to run a relay? Thanks again!

You are welcome.

I am not enough of an electronics expert to answer your question about a relay. If you are in doubt, add one to the circuit.
