On a street ride the other day, my check engine and ABS light come on.
Also noted, that the km to empty was INCREASING while I was riding

At home I put on the OB2 and it says speed sensor
I removed the front wheel (But before doing that see that the Sensor is quite far from the ring)
I cleaned the sensors and inspected the brakes, cleaned the pistons, and greased the bearings while off
Replaced ABS fuses (even thought they were ok)

I clear the codes, start the bike, and while idling the check engine light comes back on in 5 seconds

I will have to look into this, I am sure the ABS sensor is to be very close to the ring, nothing has changed in all these years, (it is not like it shrunk) and it has been working all these years
Hopefully not a short in the wire somewhere

If anyone has heard of anything, it would be appreciated, I hope to find time in the next couple of days to investigate further

Thanks

Check a wire and switch diagram for common connections for effected circuits to fuel level indicator. Could easily be a trapped wire mechanically.

I went out to inspect as I mentioned I would, I had been thinking it was the front sensor ,because of the gap,

Then looked at the rear for the 1st time and found this. The cable had rubbed raw on the rear tire.
I will splice in new wires and zip tie to brake line to keep away from rear tire

Might be a good idea for everyone to check if your cable is near rear tire :)

Glad I could help.
Part of maintence to have a look around.

Was going the mention the rear sensor as that was the problem on my '14 T'bird as well. Dealer installed rear caliper wrong after a tire change and halfway home speedo went dead, ABS light and MIL light came on. Wire had rubbed through on the rear disc. They replaced it on their dime of course.
