Hej!

I'm a newcomer to motorcycling (two years riding a Ninjette) and to the world of Triumph. Last month I gave myself a xmas present: one nice and beautiful Daytona 675R. Powerful, fast, brutal... almost a punch in the stomach for someone who came from a bike with mere 32 hp.

Apart from the shock, I have to say it's a very pleasant and fun bike to ride and cruise along. ;)

Daytona 675 is my language. Out of all of the bikes I ever owned the 675 was theeeeeee most balanced all rounder.
The laser like precision handling is just out of this world. I am no youngster and 6'4 and a very slim 135kg(extremely cuddly) the 675 did not know about it, third gear power wheelies was zero effort. Ooooo that was back in 2006.

And the Green Olive (waiting for a new owner):



Going from Green Olive to Canjica (a typical Brazilian dish made with white corn) was a shock. The D675R is brutal and awesome! And yesterday I rode with my gf on the pillion (the very 2nd time doing that - the first was my instructor, two years ago) and it was very interesting to see that turning was very smooth. Apart from the fact that I have to gas it a little bit more due to the weight, the bike doesn't seem to complain much.

I think I would face similar problem if off-roads/big trails were my next option (and I hardly believe that's gonna happen). But... life isn't that beautiful on a SS: lower backs suffer a lot, as well as the adductor muscles. And this funny Daytona has a very particular issue: the red subframe is made of an alluminum alloy which gets tremendously hot when the bike is left under the sun - even under a cape. The outcome: it's the 3rd time I burn my thighs. :/
