Cool photo. TUP There is a man down the road from me that restores them. The last time I was next door to his house he was loading his last two up on a trailer, he had just sold them. I'll have to try and catch him at home some day to see if he has another project underway.
 
They were air-cooled rear flat 4 engined.......an answer to the VW Beetle. Ralph Nader got them banned with his book Unsafe At Any Speed.

They did look better than a Beetle. I had a friend with a really cool RS model called a Corvair Stinger. Stingers had turbochargers.

The Stinger is quite collectable today. I've even seen them competing in Vintage races.

Really they where cool little cars. Another (fun little car) was the Monza (I had an 80's model) They came with little 4 cylinder or a small six but you could WEDGE a small 8 cylinder in the tiny light little body, then the issue was keeping the front wheels on the ground :y2:
