2016 and 2017 no issuesYou only hear of the problems on the web, never to positives. I have a 2018 T120 and wondered if it is the case that there are bikes prior 2021 that have no issues with the gearbox downshifting.
Mines good but very low mileage
Comments welcome.
Thanks for your comment happy biking.I have never had an issue with downshifting on my bikes, been doing it since 1974.
Thanks for that info, how many miles have you done?2016 and 2017 no issues
Thanks for that info, how many miles have you done?
I have found that if my bike "clunks" when I put it into first, it is a sign that I am a 1/2 Qt low on oil. The engine oil and the clutch oil are the same on some Triumphs. That's why the manual says " never coast with the engine turned off".Thanks for that info, how many miles have you done?
Thanks All for the response, this is all very comforting. I love my new bike of three weeks, 2018 model done 1400miles rides lovely. There are some issues with downshifting mentioned on the web. But it seems there are alot more positives, so nothing to be concerned about. Thankyou. No gearshift issues on my 2019 and 22,000miles bike. The 1st gear engagement clunk is just a wet multiplate clutch - worse when the engine is cold.
Thanks.25,000 and 30,000
Thanks for your comments. Pleased to hear.I have a 2017 T-120 with zero issues downshifting.
