I've always liked the "bent wing bird" - or as the Japanese troops called it "whistling death."
The prop was so big they had to bend the wings to keep it from hitting the ground.
 
These "wooden wonders" are amazing planes. I've only ever seen one in a museum and in the movies.
I have a 1964 DVD called 633 Squadron starring Cliff Robertson and all the planes are Mosquito's.
It's about attacking Nazi targets in Norway. Lots of great flying scenes.
