I have added a world clock to the left column just under the calendar. Now it need a bit of work changing the locations listed in it. So let’s hear what locations should reflect in the dropdown menu :y115:

Sorry I just could not stop myself I saw it and had to have it :y23:

I like it. :y115:

You need both sides of Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

It seems to be wrong.

I'm in the same time zone as New York but when i click it, the time changes to one hour behind the actual time.

You are right. I think the local time is EDT; when we click on New York it is EST.

"Local Time" is probably derived by accessing your computer's clock using javascript.

So no matter where you are at, it will always be correct as long as your computer's clock is set correctly.

It then probably adds or subtracts your time offset when you choose another time zone.

If it's the clock that's causing my problem with the drop-down menu, then it's more than likely a conflict with the javascripting

PS: That's the problem with javascripting.....sometimes oyu can have more than one script run on one page but for some reason, some will conflict with others. It must be in the version of javascript being used or something. I've never understood why exactly.

I need to have one that will work with all the themes. I am sure I can come up with another one so it is no big deal. I must admit I did not really check it for a possible time problem. Could it not be your daylight saving time thing that may be doing this?

I suppose it could be the Daylight Saving Time factor except that New York and Pittsburgh (as well as all of Florida & the East Coast) all switch to Standard Time simultaneously.....in other words, they ought to be the same at the same time of the year.
