Not finished the workshop yet and will post up when done, I just came inside for lunch and I figured I'd show you all how dumb I am. After doing the new bench and shelving I figured I'd tidy up the floor, what colour is good for a workshop?

I was motivated to go with white after looking at a professional workshop on the net a couple of nights ago. It's either going to be great and motivate me to keep it clean or going to be a great failure.

Early afternoon I'd finished the first coat and it was drying fast so late in the day I decided to roll the final coat for a fast job after I'd brushed and stippled the first coat into the raw concrete. Problem was it'd started to rain and I had to have the garage empty. Easy solution, both bikes were pushed into the downstairs games room, hey my wife was out so all's good. When I'd finished and forgotten that the bikes were in the house I said to my returned wife, "Come and check out the garage floor". We went downstairs and she found a bike either side of the pool table, without missing a beat she said "I thought we weren't doing that anymore", and that was it. She's a keeper.

When I finally get my tools and stuff sorted out and put away I may have to build a pre-wash garage to pass through before entry is permitted.:y15:

I'll be honest with my comments in a week or two about the colour choice, I like it but I may have created too much work. Our house is mainly white on the inside but that's easier to keep clean than a place that the bikes come and go from.

I think it may turn out to be heavy work in the end just running the bike in will create marks on that even when the bike is clean. A bit of a bugger if you must paint it again that will mean taking it all out again. I would have gone with something a bit darker that would be more practical for that type of area

As time allows I've been going through my stuff, cleaning, putting away and even tossing out.

Today I opened an old tool box that goes back to my trade days, wow what a mix of large spanners and in with them the extreme, vernier micrometers that measure down to 0.0001".

I found a half ton chainblock, about a year ago I went out and bought a new one, oh well I've got two now.

I even found some trophies that my Norton Atlas won at bike shows, put them on a shelf.

And all the time my helper was watching the goings on.

To be continued.:y16:

"Cigar humidifier" will be at the bottom of the list, I'll work on the rest.

I have a mate who had most on your list but his wife chucked him out because he almost never came into the house to talk to her. I say why didn't she come to the Man Cave to talk to him?:y58:
