Temps as of lately have been normal for this time of year.
Last night THAT changed; Low of -24C and -35C with the wind chill. Brrrrrr:ice:
Not much change today, still cold and windy with a daytime high of -18C.
Tomorrow -6 and 10-15cms of snow.
Sunday +9C and 10mm of rain.
Monday......back down in the deep freeze again.

My gripe for the day.
Any one else's weather all over the place?

Cloud cloud and more bloody cloud, I just wish we'd get some Sun. When we do get it, it's close to freezing or just above, nothing anywhere near that you get in Canada. You could always take some pictures of that white stuff, it looks so pretty. Easy for me to say I know, as we don't have to put up with it for 6 months a year.
Keep smiling

Much the same down here Q, but not quite as cold.
The city plow filled in my driveway overnight :y40: and with the severe temps it's like an iceberg now.
The wind was vicious all morning so I stayed inside, but will venture out soon to break up the 'berg!
I may have to use a pickaxe the break it up for easier shovelling.
I'm hearing that it's supposed to be 10C on Sunday. Ridiculous weather!!!!!!!!

Lots of cloud and overcast here lately as well, MOT, prior to this cold snap. Seemed like 3-4 weeks of dull drab days.

Rocky, that Colorado low pushing up is going to bring the snow on Saturday and then warm temps for Sunday in Atlantic Canada.
Well, at least it's NOT a Nor'Easter, or hurricane, or Alberta Clipper.
We have so many fun names for crappy weather.

Just came in from moving that iceberg. It was as hard as a rock and I did indeed use a pickaxe to break it up.
The wind has died down a bit and it's bright and sunny, but the cold is pretty bitter.
My son-in-law was a Carhartt rep a few years ago and he outfitted me with some great winter wear that really does the job.
But as Danny Glover said in the movie, Lethal Weapon, "I'm getting too old for this s--t!" BGRIN

Sorry to hear this guys, does sound like real hard work Rocky.
The weather here in Portugal is all over the place,Spain also had coldest, wettest for 14 years.
I guess we should blame Trump for all this!:y40:

Yes, winter can be a bit of a chore, but it is what it is when you live in Canada so you just cope with it and carry on.
It's still bitterly cold, but temps are slowly rising.
I'm looking forward to next week when the daylight hours start to get longer.
We have nearly 12 hours of darkness this time of year.

Last week the temps were holding around 16C for the highs and 7C for the lows. Yesterday we started the day at 9C and made it up to 22C. Today we started at 20C and it has increased to 28C with 95% humidity. We are looking for a cool off tonight with a low of -4C predicted.

I'm so tired of this winter crap, looking forward to our normal mild summers of the mid 30's to low 40's. Come on summer.

Last night on the box, they showed just how far south the jet stream had gone, causing you to have this cold snap. It sure has moved well south, but it's not going to last, it goes back up north soon.
So all's not lost, just put an extra pair of socks on for beddie by's .

Looks like the weather guessers got it wrong, our temps did not drop like they were saying. Seems like the skies didn't clear as they expected and we had a nice cloud blanket over the area and it kept the temp from falling below -2C. :ice: WINTER SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

Wonky weather is right!!!
After a couple of days of brutally cold weather and a lot of snow we just came through 24 hours of rain and temps in the 8-10C range - and is now back to a more normal -2C, but will be heading down to a cold -12C (10F) tonight.
The warm temps sure kicked the crap out of the snow leaving the streets bare, but there are still small piles of snow where it was shoveled and plowed.
When all that warm air swept in over all that cold fresh snow it created dense fog all day which is pretty unusual for December.

Hey Rocky, these Yanks aren't as tough as you Canadians are they. :whistle2::whistle2:
Well, those boys down south sure aren't!!
But you can't be too hard on them down there in their warm (HOT. HOT, HOT!!!) and cozy climate BGRIN

I remember flying into Miami in January, having just left temps in the -18C (0F) range, and seeing the bikers in T-shirts.
I have to admit that looked awfully nice :y154:
