Well this morning was a typical winters morning waking up to rain and a freezing 11 degree Celsius = 51.8 degree Fahrenheit :ice:

When will this winter ever end it has just been with us tooooooooooo looooooooooong now :ohwell: :y23:

Well where coming out of winter now and it's a barmy 10c and sunny , so it looks like you never had a winter Dave ? You Southern Hemisphere lads I bet you don't even eat ice cream in case of frost bite !

I'm glad it's somebody else complaining about winter instead of us over here.

And yes, 11C certainly is brutally cold alright (snicker, snicker, laugh, chortle, guffaw)
I don't know how a person can survive such cold FACE ROTFL :y43:

We've had some really nice warm sunny days recently and the snow is taking quite a beating. It's nice to se those massive snow banks getting smaller every day.
I even saw some bikes out yesterday, but all that water in the streets and running across the roads from the snow melt is full of road salt, sand and debris with deep puddles everywhere.
That's not for me even if I could get a bike out.

Rocky ! I bet he just put this on to wind us up for a laugh ? Coz he knows it's like a red rag to a bull !o_Owell Dave :p
Yeah, he's just winding us up BGRIN
He should have been over here when it looked like this and he would know what REAL winter is!
My driveway a few weeks ago.

Well the weather people have issued a warning that we heading for the coldest winter in 25 years, I think I will pop off and help Rocky shovel some snow for the next 6 month or so

As amazing as it may sound now, but that snow pictured above is 98% gone.
It's really quite astonishing at how quickly the direct sun, rain and temps in the 6-10C (42 - 50F) range knocks it down.
On the other side of the house and in those areas always shaded from the sun still have lots of snow though.
So Dave, if you want to help shovel you had better get over here soon before it's gone BGRIN

We got home from Florida on Tuesday afternoon and came home to NO snow on the ground, here in central Massachusetts. I was honestly amazed because I was sure that the pile which was plowed up at the bottom of my driveway (6-7 feet high) wouldn't be melted until May. Now, the temps are in the mid 60's F, or so, and I'm wearing my short sleeved shirts again..................what a relief!!! Jim

As I have mentioned before we not equipped for cold weather here as it normally really last a short period so we just tough it out over that period. So if it is 8 degree Celsius = 46.4 degree Fahrenheit outside normally it will be colder inside the house. We don't have any type of heating equipment in our house except for the electric blanked on our bed. So with all said when the temp drops it really becomes unpleasant for us, the warmest place is in my car that has a heater lol
