As far as the "Big 3" (Triumph, Norton & BSA), this was the final "Triumph" of the BritBike industry:

1983 Triumph T140W 750 8-valve electric start Bonneville "TSS"

Remaining bikes that were hand-built by Les Harris under license from John Bloor (between '84 and '90) were not from the BritBike industry per se, but were hand built "specials" built from the 83 spec parts (not the 8 valve), and were not exported to the U.S.

Nice pix. That orange one brings back a blond....uh.....er.... fond memory. :silent:

GP: Is that the same one that was in your trailer at DIS? If so, kudos for some great work. :y115: :y115:

MINI's..... I just LOVE Mini's.. Used to have one whilst the kids were growing up, but as soon as they got their own wheels I sold it and got another bike... Now I want another one.. but an original, not the latest BMW clone (Although they are a really nice car)

Looking at the bike pics, I see a BSA that looks like a rocket Gold Star but appears to have a triple motor wedged in it! (second down on the left) Am I seeing things? Looks great...

Thanks Joao..

The meanest British sports car I ever owned (and I've owned practically everything at one time except the Aston Martin) was the Griffith 400.

It was actually a TVR until Griffith Motors of New York stuffed a Ford engine into it and marketed them in the USA. It gave TVR the idea to begin building the original TVR Tuscan.

Mine had so much power that it once tore the spokes out (it had Dunlop wire wheels) of both rear wheels when I dumped the clutch a bit too hard.

It feared NO car! It was about the size of an MGB and had a Ford 289 Hi-Po engine. Mine was a dark BRG. I totalled it one night on wet bridge pavement bouncing off of both side rails several times. The fibreglass body just disappeared.

Here's an example set of pics:

This is a Kougar Mk.II

It is powered by a XK 4.2 DOHC 6 cyl. Jaguar engine with triple Weber and 300 HP claimed (I think some of them are dead by now )
Not exactly a true “British Classic†but still a lot of fun. :y115:

Beautiful pieces of machinery. In my next life when I'm rich and famous, I'm DEFINITELY going to have an old E-Type and do the Bond thing, martini's and all AND I would a new Morgan! To me, the Morgan is in a league of it's own.

Now that's just sent me off on raptures and I can't concentrate on my work. I knew I shouldn't have popped in during working hours. That is just gorgeous! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

Her are 2 from my past. Not the actual cars, but the same models. A Triumph GT6+, and a Triumph Herald. They belonged to my brothers when I was much younger. I was actually able to drive the GT6, and that was my introduction to Lucas electronics. A fried ignition coil at 1am at my girlfriends house. I had to spend the night with her. I loved that car!!!!
