Regulator/Rectifier module on my '76, but I am thinking about going back to the 'ole zener diode with the separate full bridge rectifier.

The H***a I bought last year has features that I like; gas gauge, gear position indicator and four-way flashers.
It also has gas a consumption per mile/kilometer feature and a switch to flash the headlight for passing.
Edit added: I forgot to mention that it also has ABS.

I'm not too sure that I'd want all the bells and whistles that are on bikes these days. I doubt that my ability would be able to test them to the limit anyway. ABS is a good thing, but traction control, anti wheelie, and quick shift for the gearbox, is something that just doesn't figure in my " Must have category ". I'm happy pottering about at a reasonable speed and enjoying the scenery. But what Rocky has mentioned above, I think are good bits to have.

I know for some, well maybe a lot that the GPS isn't high on their list. Like some of them have said, they prefer the paper map option which I too like. I use my GPS in two different ways:
1. To give a heads up to approaching obscure intersections where I need to turn. Mostly this is for when I know I'm nearing the turn but not real sure where it is, a quick glance will tell me it is a mile ahead or that I've missed it. I usually use it when leading a group ride.
2. The way I like to use it most is to find my way out of somewhere I've never been before. I'll have it running when exploring the backroads, reach a spot and then use the GPS to find a new way out instead of just back tracking the way I came. This is especially handy when riding in the oil fields or farm country where not all roads are public roads.
3. Ok I can't count. I use it to help locate gas/petrol when in I or someone I'm riding with forgot to check their fuel level before we got away from civilization or one one them has a small tank.

I really like ABS - but not off road. I rarely even hook up my GPS - except here in Ontario. I need it find my way back, :D Mostly I use it as a speedometer because I set it to metric. My Tiger has the miles to empty feature; but I don't use it. I just use my trip meter.

I like to use a GPS when I'm in no particular hurry to get to a destination and take an alternate route, explore some some roads I've passed by before and head in the general direction of my destination until the GPS eventually alters my route and I continue on. I've come across some nice curvy less traveled two lane black top roads this way.

I know all the gizmos on cars trucks and motorcycles are very nice and functional, especially the GPS, now that thing is great but ...... when i am on one of my old M/C's i slip back in time and i am 21 years old again with a smile on my face. I will have to stay with OLD SCHOOL.
