I was just wondering if taking vitamins really help at all. Right now I take calcium and magnesium tablets and it does seem to help but no jump up and run around experience as far as I can see. So this made me think if taking vitamins is not all it is made out to be or what we may expect. I am also looking at finding something to give me more get up and go as work is really starting to run me down. With all the retrenchments and the redistribution of the work load I just find that my energy level seems to be depleted faster than normal.

I don't take any Vitamins but do try to eat very healthy. With winter
approaching I will need to boost the immune system with something extra.

Dave when you are under stress or worrying then you feel tired and run down
I'm no health specialist but I'm sure your body reacts and releases chemicals that make you feel the way you do.
Exercise, a detoxing eating plan and lots of water etc etc

At this moment I drink lots of water and take healthy and large doses of vitamin S.............only because I don't have vitamin T to take as well........:y2:

I used to take loads until I became ill then the doc said come off everything altogether. I now only take calcium/magnesium. Thing is with vitamins and supplements, you don't immediately feel the benefits, it takes a while. But when you stop taking them, you can feel the difference almost immediately.

Dave, I take a multiple vitamin in the morning which includes calcium, magnesium and lutein. I also take saw palmetto morning and night. At night I take calcium and magnesium, saw palmetto, and lutein.

I have macular degeneration and the ophthalmologist recommended that I take lutein. I have been taking it for four years and my macular degeneration has not progressed in that four years. The saw palmetto is for prostate and at almost 70 years old, I have no prostate problems.

I take no prescription medicines.

Hey Dave. I take a multi vitamin. Saw palmetto (prostate cancer got my Dad and i figure an ounce of prevention as they say) and garlic tabs. TBTH i can not recall the last time i was sick. Always have energy and work out 2-3 times a week. Plus work at what is sometimes a very physically demanding job.
Stay moving. I stand.......a lot. Even at home my laptop sits up on a shelf in the kitchen i stand and surf the web. A body in motion stays in motion. Its corny but true. When i sit i get tired.

I'm with Shane and Tassie. . . picked up a new bottle of Jim Beam multi-vitamins this afternoon. That's my vitamin of choice but SWMBO makes me take a multi-vitamin. I was taking the ones she bought for my boys but they out grew the Flintstones Chewable brand and now I get a different brand but I have no clue what they are.
