Would I like to own one of Steve McQueen's vehicles? Yes. Why? Resell it to make extra money from the sale because of the name to some one with more dollars than sense.

To a collector of such bikes who has deep pockets, it's probably worth a lot.
To us ordinary folk, it's probably not worth much except for what we could get out of it.

To me it would be worth the going price of that particular bike on the open market, the added name of the previous owner would not make it worth more to me as I would be using it as a rider and not an investment

It's the people with too much money to throw away/around that price things out of all reason for everyone.
Just look at some of the car auctions on TV. Absurd prices are being paid.

It is worth market value to me. Maybe if I were collector and had a museum, I would see it differently. I am interested in how much it does sell for.

While I really enjoyed Steve McQueen as and actor and private individual, he passed many years ago.

Someone else (or many someones) has owned this bike for a very long interim. It's not like you are going to find any remnants of Mr. McQueen clinging to the bike........
