well....a few days anyway.
After "enjoying" record high temps and humidity with little to no rain for nearly two months, the weather had moderated almost overnight to being unusually cool.
When I slid out from under the covers this morning I could really feel how the house had cooled down overnight. It was 8C(46) early this morning, but will give way to another sunny and dry day at around 20C(68F) which is normal for this time of year.
Some inland areas were as low as 3C(37F) :y26:
If this continues I won't be taking any more early AM rides until the air warms up a bit by mid day BGRIN
I sounds like madness to say it, but we need rain badly as the forests are tinder dry as are rural wells. Some sections of the province have had dry wells for weeks.
But the wineries and grape growers are loving the hot dry weather and have a bumper crop of grapes to harvest this year so it's not all bad :y146: BGRIN
In the meantime, I'm going to get in some day rides as our riding season is quickly closing. By the end of October I'm usually done for the year.

Hi, Rocky: Yep, it's the same down here; I'm going to miss riding off on Saturday morning with just my mesh jacket and, if needed, my "windshirt". Looks like the old Kilimanjaro jacket is coming "out of retirement", again. Heck, I may even have to start wearing the full-face Nolan as well.
Enjoy it while we can............we know what's coming: Jim

Still got to ride with the mesh jacket last Saturday; just added a sweatshirt under the windshirt. We're going to warm up again for a few days, but there's no dodging the bullet when it come to weather down here............it ain't gonna' last!!
Jim

Still t shirt and shorts here in northern Spain,a little chilly in the morning and very late in the evening.
Still will be warmed up later this week ready for Moto GP Aragon on Sunday, the campsite here is filling up and the atmosphere is starting.
Really looking forward to it,where's my earplugs them GP bikes are real ear splitters!!!

Well I thought the summer weather had arrived a few weeks back but we back into our normal spring weather right now, just a bit cooler in the morning and them warming up nicely during the day.

All I can say is . . .

September has been a wonderful riding month as it usually is, but you can certainly feel fall in the air - especially in the early morning.
It's a "fresh" 12C (53F) this morning, but will get up to an overcast 16C (61F) later with some needed rain coming.
This summer has been one of the driest on record and wells are dry all over the province.
The lake level where I have my cottage has dropped to a record low and has a shoreline which I have never seen.

The forecast is for another sunny weekend and I'll be riding both days; a club run on Saturday and the Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride on Sunday with a few club members, but mostly strangers.
Our season it pretty well wound down by the end of October so I'm getting out as much as I can.

Somewhere in the 50's when I ventured out this morning; still wearing my Nolan "shorty", goggles and mesh jacket, albeit with a sweatshirt and windshirt.......fairly comfortable still. I was a wee bit sleepy when I left the house, but about 100 ft. down the road........................I was WIDE awake with all the "cobwebs" cleared from my brain!!
Better than caffeine, any day: Jim
