Still summer and the temperature's tee shirt friendly but the rain is belting in almost horizontally.
We decided to have a look at the surf and take the camera along.

First two taken at Towradgi Point.

Next three taken from above Wollongong Harbour.

Similar shot zoomed in a little.

I intended spending the afternoon around Wollongong with the camera but the boss said in a little girly voice "I'm getting wet, can we go home". SAD So that was that.

Sure can see it is one of those summer wet days, you got some great shots in considering the weather. The harbour really looks like a nice spot if it were not raining.

Thanks Dave.
I took this about 10 years back with my first little digital camera.
I like to poke about the beaches in winter when the surfs up, very invigorating.

Thanks Devo & Sea Dog, as said it was taken with an early inexpensive camera. I think the light was very good that day. I half clicked for focus and watched with my other eye for the water to stand up then finished the button push. Oh bum, giving away trade secrets. :y15:

And that is a requirement for all digital photography.
A little grain on film format is acceptable, but in digital it will ruin the shot.

That shot worked very well.
BTW, another little trick on this subject,if you are shooting in lower light conditions with digital, wind up the film speed setting rather than push the exposure time.
