......the bikes have been put away for the winter.
We have enjoyed relatively warm temps the past 3-4 weeks, but it has been quite wet so not much riding.
Then, as if a ton of bricks fell, the temp dropped to -7C (20F) overnight. Once that warm and moist southern air passed the Arctic air blasted in very quickly. Some parts of the northern areas of the province have had snow already, but those areas are only 100k (60 miles) away as the crow flies.
When it's over, it's over, but we had a great riding season this year with only average rain and lots of sun.
It was a very good year so I have no complaints. I also got to ride in the Rocky Mountains which is something I've been wanting to do for quite a while.

:silent: I was scared to read this thread when I saw the title, glad to hear it is only summer that is over. You did have a great summer season that was for sure and before you know it another will be knocking at you door :y18:

It's getting a bit nippy here too!
We had a few snow flurries 2 weeks ago, then it turned mild.
Forecast is for -3C tonight getting down to -10C by the weekend with heavy snow forecast for tomorrow night!
Needless to say, both Bonnies are tucked away in the garage!

[/quote]Dave, I had that same sinking feeling. Rocky, it is just getting to ideal riding weather here - upper 70's to low 80's.
