I was surprised to see the 2 modern bikes ( Bonnie and a Speed 3) along side the cars. Talked with the fellas a bit and found I could actually enter my Tigger next year. :y2: Gonna have to give her a good bath first though.

It's hard to tell, but is the first picture of a Triumph TR-7 ??

Those cars were too far ahead of their time with the wedge look which is now become almost a standard thing in auto design. But it was too futuristic for the died in the wool Triumph roadster fans that had always bought the TR-6 and TR-5, etc.

Also reverting back to a 4 cylinder engine after the TR-6 was like going backwards in performance. Triumph did attempt to rectify that with the TR-8 (8 Cylinder) but it was to late.

Well none of them are truly "performance" cars by todays standards....I mean the 2013 Toyota Carolla SE claims 289 hp!?!?!?!?!?!? WTF? in a 4 door econo box 289 really????? Soccer Moms on steroids!!!!!!! Be afraid, be very afraid...
The TR-7 was only 109 (way less than my Tiger :y10:) and did 0-60 in just over 10 secondsCRY......no not a sports car these days. Heck a coworker has a 77 Porsche Targa, 119 hp stock. Boy times have really changed........my bone stock 99 Forester has 165 hp and all wheel drive, so in theory I think it can whoop his Porsche on a road course, and certainly a rally course....a station wagon........thats sad. His certainly LOOKS way better though:y2:
I guess in 20 years all cars will be 500hp?

Don, I had an MGA and I loved that car. Not much power, but fun to drive.

Carl, I had a 1967 Austin Healey Sprite MkIII. First year with roll up windows and fold down top. 1250cc motor and would run circles around every MGA at the weekend meets.

But, I still love the lines of the MGA!!!TUP

I'll bet :y2: Great lookin ride Seeker.
Kinda the same concept as this thing? The 'ol V-8 Vega. Not this one but a friend of mine had one just like it in black.

Yenko sold Vegas with 427 Chevy V-8s like that although they had hoods on them.

The TVR Griffith is where Shelby got the idea for the AC Cobra. Mr Griffith did them at his Ford dealership and then later TVR began building them at the factory and called them the Tuscan.

PS: You never said....is that a TR-7 in the first photo?
