It's raining, so I am surfing...I am on beautiful Vancouver Island, a 5 Summer owner of an O7 Scrambler, suffering from too much work, not enough miles on the machine. I'm sure we can all relate. Looking to learn more about the bike, and the small nagging problems of riding it and whether they can be overcome by equipment - like a better seat, better mid-range, better wind protection - those are the three issues on my plate. This is a good bike, plenty of usable power, plenty of identity, not quite enough long range seat comfort. I'm a professional in the marine field, looking soonish at retirement and further distances on a bike - again the comfort issue and whether a switch to a tiger might be worth the change. I'd like to think two up riding for a bit of distance might be in the works, as I cannot see an epic trip with long mileage something my wife would entertain. I'd need some sort of chesterfield bike.

Hello and WELCOME to TT from the east coast BBEER
The Scrambler is a great bike, but it was never intended for touring - which is not to say that you can't make it into a smi-decent tourer with enough mods.
I don't think anyone here has gone to that extent, but others may chime in with suggestions.

Michael, welcome to the forum form Florida. As said above, the Scrambler was not meant to be a tourer; but I have a friend that definitely toured on his. His modded the suspension and and purchased an after market seat. He recently sold it it a bought a Trophy - which he is loving. I've put a lot miles two up on a Bonnie; but I have never ridden a Scrambler two up. The Bonnie gets a little cramped after about two hours in the saddle.
