Carl if you keep going North past Goderich, you'll get to Sauble Beach. The only beach around you can still drive out and park on then go for a swim(if it was a little later in the summer). Also the Bruce Peninsula to the North of Sauble is scenic and there are numerous shipwrecks around Tobermory on the tip of the Bruce Peninsula. Just some more suggestions to further add to the must see list.

Thanks for the tips. The water is definitely not warm enough for swimming unless you are polar bear. :D It looks like I will have to make this a two day camping trip!

I think it's fantastic that you're getting to explore and have already done so much!
The weather and temperatures in the central part of the continent are always much better than here on the colder Atlantic coast - but it's slowly improving for us.
As you have already found out, southern Ontario is a lot like the USA; too many people; too much traffic and too much congestion.
But at least the strong US dollar is helping to ease the pain of our high gas prices WINK
I've driven in Toronto many times and it certainly is a madhouse -especially if you don't always know exactly where you're going BGRIN
They don't cut you any slack!
Have a great time and be careful.

It is very much like the northern US for sure.
