Unusually high temperatures

All this week we have been under the influence of a blast of warm southern air - often referred to as a Bermuda high.
Normal temps are in the 5-6C (41/42F) range with a record high of 10C(50F) for this time of year.
Yesterday it was 26C(79F) and today the forecast is for 28C(82F). Inland away from the cooler coast where I live it was even warmer. It's like summer in August
When I got up this morning at 6:00AM before sunup it was already 16C (61F)!!!
Of course this won't last as it will be back down to normal temps in the 5-6C range by the weekend.
But in the meantime bikes are out all over the place; the ladies are out in shorts and skimpy tops - life is good

16c is a cold mid winters day, well for us. I don't know how you blokes do it.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Here, a real cold winters day is -15C/-18C (-5/0F) or less.
But in recent years temps that low are getting more rare and may last only a day or so instead of weeks like it did 20-30 years ago.
We just went through one of the mildest and snow free winters on record.
Things, they be achangin'.

you guys would freeze to death in the summer here ! makes me laugh im of on the duc to day to look at that trophy, its that warm 16c i dont no what to put on under my jacket.

It is warmer than normal here also. Usually we have highs around 75 F/ 24 C this time of year. This week the highs have ranged from 82F to 84F/27.7 - 28.8 C.

Just as I would not be able to handle those extreme warm temperatures.
When it gets to 30C and above I'm done. It's just too hot to exert yourself.
That's even too hot to ride for me so I stay out of the sun, but if I'm down at the lake I can always go for a dip.
I just heard that our salt water beaches have been flooded with people this week.
All of this will end tonight as an Arctic cold front approaches.
Oh well, it was nice while it lasted

[lang=cy]well unbilevably wev'e had between 9c - 22c over the last 2 weeks ,and now there saying were in for snow and ice with temps down as low as - 7c ! ( what is all that about ? damn looks like im going to find out how good the tiger is in snow . )[/lang]
