It was announced on the morning news that we may be having an unwelcome visitor on Friday
We're hoping it will track east away from the coast and only give us some mild winds and rain, but that rain could be heavy.

It's been a pretty quiet hurricane season so far, but it was in September that Juan smashed into us so it's not over yet.
It has been a very quiet season until now. Looks like that is changing; Humberto is out there, too.
I'm pleased to report that the storm passed and was largely a non-event.
By the time it reached us it had petered out except for the rain. We had frequent downpours, but no wind at all.

That is really good to hear. That is just the outcome I love to hear about these storms.
