Hopefully it follows the history of July storms forming in the area this one did and turns north into the Atlantic. Unfortunately the models don't predict the turn north.
The weather reports here state the storm is being engulfed by a dry air mass causing the storm to show signs of disorganizing and a possible southern shift. A southern shift could send it to the Gulf if it holds together.
My Son, Daughter and Son in Law in The Keys are watching very closely for sure. It appears either way it will impact them, but as a Tropical its not really that big an issue.
Prayers sent and fingers crossed.
I have told them to evac to here if need be, but in all the years I lived in the Keys we only left one time during a hurricane. So I don't imagine they will listen to me.
It is now just a tropical low with a 50% profitability of reforming. We will get some moisture from this system; but it looks like it will pass south of the State and into the Gulf of Mexico.
Our weather reports here at work is now calling for it to hit Cancun as a summer shower if it even makes it that far. The high pressure that is moving into the Gulf Coast is expected to rip it to pieces if it does actually enter the Gulf. I hope or wish we could get some rains from it.
