Tropical Storm Cristobal

Though Cristobal is well west of us out in the Gulf of Mexico and heading for Louisiana, we are experiencing heavy rains from the tropical moisture from Cristobal. We just a had a tornado pass just west of us and one pass just east of us. Lots of rain falling. My rain gauge overflowed at three inches/7,6 centimeters. Typical tropical weather. Definitely not riding weather!

So far we have had no outages. However, we do have a standby generator that is ready to go.

CarlS, we are fixing to experience the same starting tomorrow(Sun.) we will just have to see what this one has to offer, at lease this isn't our first rodeo and certainly not yours either. Fun with weather!

The bad stuff was east of you. But we greatly needed the rain.

One gets used to it. We needed every drop of the rain. We didn't need the tornadoes. Fortunately, they were short lived. This weather is now hitting northern Florida. And we are 500 miles/804.7 kilometers from the center!

We needed rain here as well. We got a bad T'storm go through here Friday and did a lot of damage. May have been mini tornadoes or a few downbursts hit Fredericton, about 20 minutes away from me. Local flooding, downed trees, branches, lightening strikes caused a house fire. The whole shebang, here too.

I hate that damage. We had damage here in central Florida; but we did not suffer any, thankfully.
