Here is a TSS that I done a lot of work to last year, fitted with the old ex pipes the now for to set up timing and carburation as I found out that its best setting them up with the old pipes 1st as the pipes will blue rapidley to start with untill its all set up.
The paintwork on tank and panels is needing doing as its is a bit tatty.

This is the setup I used for the pushrod tube`s,also shows the seals that I used as well to get the correct crush.

That is very, very nice. Beautiful work. :y45: Looks like you manufactured different rocker shafts as well. Any details?

Did you use fibre washers under the push rod tube cups as they do on the Tridents?

Which belt drive did you use. Did you seal the primary case to run it dry ?

The cups are STD Trident,I tried a set up with fibre washers but there was too much squash, played about with a few other variations and settled on the set up in the photo, worked a treat.
Most of the TSS`s I have worked on have usually had a fair bit of wear on the rocker spindle shafts,so I replace them with Nourish rocker spindles.
The TSS in the pictures above also suffered from the outer crankcase to barrel stud threads pulling out, which took a lot of work to put right, as well as the usual TSS problems like sunken liners, loose valve guides, crankcase intermediate spindle bush among others.
Some of the later TSS crankcases were strengthned at the outer crankcase to barrel stud holes by welding up the bosses inside and making the threaded hole deeper.
This was also a common problem with the racing guys who fitted the Rickman 8 vavle top end to 650 crankcases.

I used an Aerco alloy belt drive kit which runs in oil.

Grin, sounds like you have a shop; tell us more!

I'm on the "over the hill" side of that phase of my life; just wondering how other operators have done with their experience...
