Hi , I would like to have copper head gasket rings made . Has anyone else done this as I need to know the dimensions to achieve the correct push rod tube o'ring crush.
Thanks

The one I just bought has very low km's was sitting in a shed for 30+ years . It is in original condition with original tyres, mufflers, It should clean up very well. The only problem so far is a broken spark plug. I have had to remove the head and will have to try and remove the broken piece. I have had to use penentrate on all the studs and bolts and nuts. One of the threads in the cases for the head studs has pulled out also. It is a shame this bike sat for so long untouched.

The problem is getting the piece of the plug out that is still stuck in the head. I have tried easyouts and heat . I would like to remove the piece without having to use a helicoil. The top part of the thread is ok , I don't know what the lower part will be like if I can get the broken piece out.

I feel your pain as that's what I went through with my snow blower. The alloy threads just couldn't take it and broke free.
All I can suggest is keep at it and hope for the best.

So the threaded neck is still stuck in the head, but the hex headed shoulder broke off? Wow! I have never heard of that.

Perhaps welding a large-ish bolt onto the stub will allow you to extract it that way? Make sure to disconnect the electronic ignition module ENTIRELY from the wiring harness and ground BEFORE electric arc welding of any sort! I good, deep, solid bead all the way around should suffice, and let it cool fully. Also (of course) apply penetrant lube just before applying torque.
