Nice to hear. Lovely review enjoyed her perspective and analysis. As some of you know I’m partial to the Thruxton line so my preference is a bit biased. Not looking at going to a larger engine from the 900, but I’m always interested in the 1200 for reference. It mentioned a horsepower over a 100 which is a significant jump over my 900 model of around 69 HP. I’ve not really encountered a need for more horsepower and that might be due to my age. LoL. Still I might look into bumping up the HP when it’s time to rebuild the top end. Excellent and fun review of two fabulous Triumph models. It is indeed a bit sad the Thruxton is being discontinued. She makes some good points. I'll also agree the Thruxton is a hoot to ride.
You are likely right. LoL.I wouldn’t doubt the R model will be reinvented before long , followed by a wholesale upgrade in the Bonnevilles. Lighter , faster , tricker but still very retro .
If you ever head north toward DFW you are welcome to take my Thruxton R for a spin, I'll even let you try to keep up with me on my Speed Triple. Of course you would have to select SPORT mode and should have a Sena headset just in case.....Nice to hear. Lovely review enjoyed her perspective and analysis. LoL. Thanks for the invite! I’ll put the Sena headset on my shopping list.
