Triumph has unveiled the first of its new-for-2012 bikes, revealing something a little bit old, a little bit new, and a big-engined adventurous one, too.
The good ol' hooligan-approved Speed Triple gets the "R" treatment for '12, gaining premium Öhlins suspension, reduced unsprung mass, and beefy radial Brembo monoblocks-- along with available switchable ABS.
On the retro front, the Bonneville T100 transforms into a limited edition "Great Escape"-inspired McQueenmobile, with matte khaki green paint and a stenciled "Triumph" logo referencing the Trophy TR6 from the film (which was actually disguised as a BMW... odd, I know.)
And finally, the new Triumph Tiger Explorer stuffs an all-new 1,200+cc three-cylinder into a steel chassis, adding ride-by-wire throttle, cruise control, and switchable ABS and traction control.
Check 'em all out in this preliminary 2012 Triumph Buyer's Guide, which will be populated with more '12 bikes as they're revealed.
