When I did riding in the bush like this it was the most fun I have ever had on a motorcycle and I really miss it.
When I was a teenager with my first bike (650 BSA), it was a road bike and off road riding wasn't a big thing here like it is now.
I only had that bike for three years and then moved on to cars.
I then leaped forward 34 years to middle age and my second bike. I wasn't interested in anything but pavement riding and touring then.

To my jaundiced eyes, so many of the bikes now on the market look unfinished with the rear tire hanging out there in the air by itself, and what little pillion seat there is, is stuck way up in the air!
I don't get this styling and the R3 falls into that "unfinished" category - at least to me.
I know, I know, I'm just and old fart traditionalist and not with the times - but like art - I know what I like when I see it BGRIN

I hope Triumph does gangbusters with the R3.

I've already said what I think of the R3 and haven't changed my mind.
It may go like a scalded cat, and want to put your arms from their sockets, but looks and general purpose are more important to me, and the look of it doesn't appeal at all.
But that's just me and many/most may love it.
