As a Bobber owner and rider I can appreciate some of his interpretations, and if one really wants to ride a bone jarring, dental filling remover, then a stock Bobber is definately your ride. Since I ride for pleasure and having my spinal column rearranged isn't pleasant or pleasurable, I upgraded the suspension with an Ohlins rear shock and full Matris emulators in the forks so it was pleasurable. And while the reviewer was complimentory of the motor and riding character it applies only to the first gen Bobbers with the 19 inch front wheels, single front disk brake, and Kayaba forks. The Black version (now the only version sold) has two riding modes (Rain and Road), dual front disk brakes, Showa forks, and cruise control standard. One final thought is, he was testing a bike that had a lot of mods on it, not a stock from the box unit, so his insights are particularly applicable to the customizations that were done to that one bike and not the model.
