Day 5, May 11[SUP]th[/SUP] – 326miles – 11hr 3m

Today we were heading to Yosemite National Park (thanks to a recommendation from my lovely wife). A family pass allows all three of us to enter the park together. Traffic was light so we were able to ride at a nice speed and stop at any scenic places without having to worry about 'tourists' getting inour way.

We kept leap-frogging this older couple after seeing them in Death Valley. We finally got to chat to them in Yosemite. They were from Florida and were completing a tour of the lower 48 states, we were very impressed.

We remembered to take a few pictures today. Still some snow around at the higher elevations.

We spent so long enjoying Yosemite that we were leaving it late to look for a camp site (again). We headed north as the sun was setting and went over some mountain ranges in Eldorado National Forest. It was getting really cold up there and I was glad of my heated grips, but not so pleased that I was wearing my perforated summer boots and pants.
8000ft and cold.

Gordon asking me if we should go left or right.
