The creek (Buffalo Bayou) they are running along goes on to be come the Houston Ship Channel just a few miles down the road.

Just before Alex headed back home after being with us for Easter he commented they were going to hit the trails there at Memorial Park instead of a couple locations out of town. He said for the most part, Memorial Park is overlooked by most of the area Mountain Bike crowd. The majority of the riders rode it when there was only a couple easy trails and they have wrote it off as a place to ride. Right now they are enjoying the lack of folks on the trails, especially to new ones. It won't be long before the rest learn of the new trails.
