They are all good scenes, but I don't think I would choose Easy Rider for # 1.
I only saw the movie for the first time a couple of years ago and frankly, I was bored with it.
When it was over all I could think was, "Is that it?"
The chase scene on Triumphs with Clint Eastwood in Coogan's Bluff should have been in there.
Oh well, it's only Hollywood where nothing is real.

Yeah, don't go out of your way to see that movie.
But then you might like it. It all depends on your personal tastes.
I just found it boring with a stupid ending.

When it came out it was relevant for the times, and was a great movie
However in todays times it is a little slow and many of the meanings are lost
It can be very closely compared to Vanishing Point, another great movie in its day.
I watched The Wild One for the first time last year and found it terribly slow, but I imagine when it was made it would have been great to see.

I would need some of their mind opening "helpers" to sit thru it again. I've only watched once all the way thru. I've tried several other times and just couldn't force myself to watch it all again.

I also do not agree with Easy Rider as first choice. That choice was all about the actor and not about the scene. Harry is right; Easy Rider was a great movie for the times in which it was released. It is a little boring for today's environment. I would have put the Great Escape at the top of the list.
