Apologies for not posting on the Forum, but my wife and I decided (after our 2016 trip to Nauders & Zell Am See, in Austria, on our Triumph Tiger 800ABS) that this would be our last "Foreign" M/C Tour. Unfortunately, the fully laden Tiger (luggage and pillion) was too much for me to control around the many tight, smooth & slippery bends in the Black Forest, in pouring rain. Gear changing has also become difficult, due to wear & tear on my joints. So, we now have a light, automatic scooter - 2 up touring in the UK and solo trips to France & Belgium. There are rumours of an auto box Tiger - you never know, we could be back! Long live the TriumphTalk Forum and we wish you all a happy, healthy and safe (Triumph) motorcycling future. Bye for now.

David, some time decisions like this have to be made, whatever you ride enjoy and be safe.
Good luck with the scooter,I know there is a V twin 800 think made by Aprilia, that could be fun :sneaky:

We also have a scooter, a Honda Reflex, which is the only 2 wheeled vehicle that is complete and running. That's because my wife won't let me "customize" it!

I can certainly have sympathy for your situation. At 73 I am feeling some wear & tear myself. I am considering selling my two older bikes. I just don't ride enough to keep.all 3 in top shape. Enjoying your self is what is important. ...J.D.

You could go classic and still remain on a Triumph with a Triumph Tigress
