Tiger 800 Xc Gen1 To Gen2 Engine Swap! Please Help

Hello folks can anyone help with this!

I've been offered a gen2 engine for cheap

My question is has anyone fitted a gen2 in a gen1 frame or know if its possible woth the following... using the gen1 cam cover which deletes the secondary air intake SAI, fitting the gen1 throttle and throttle bodies, wiring loom and ecu from gen1 from what I can see all other sensors etc are the same.. any information would be really appreciated before I waste even more money on this build. Thanks guys!

I dont personaly know anyone that has done it ! .... but I see know reason why it wont swap over using all the gen 1 parts the engines are identical bar the secondary air intake , there were a lot of fueling and ecu changes as well as a bigger output generator .

But the basic engine is the same as far as I know there were no engine changes till the last gen 3 .
