See thread here on Kawasaki ZX9 rear shock swap- done on my '96 Thunderbird. Works GREAT!! Costs less than $150 USD, has comp/rebound adj., too.

Have you progressed in upgrading rear shock yet?

Not as yet, as other priorities with my other bikes at the moment. Still very keen on the Ikon though. Will post something once I take it further.

VIC motor cycle wreckers have the ZX9 shock for $150 but I’m going to buy a new YSS one from Italy, will let you know how it works out
