Yes indeed, it is a marvel of technology, and I can see it having some uses in certain situations, but I don't see it coming to your local Wal-Mart anytime soon.
Can you imagine what the Wal-Martians would do with this?? Love the Wal-Martian photos but I can just imagine the scene, in all the gear, tearing around Wal-Mart on these things!

those Wal-Mart shoppers pics are hard to believe sometimes.True story:
When my wife and I go out shopping, or for whatever reason, we try to dress in a presentable way.
We normally don't shop at Wal-Mart, but stop in once in a while.
Last year we were at a WM store and standing by ourselves when a shopper stopped and asked if we were from around here.
We replied that we live here - and thought perhaps he was a tourist or something like that.
He replied that he didn't think we were locals because we were dressed too niceley and looked too out of place in a Wal-Mart.
We just smiled and took that as a compliment

It looks like you can only ride this on level surfaces....any incline up or down would mess it up.
I'm not so sure - at least uphill. I think it would "read" an uphill incline as a "lean" forward and would, thus, go forward. A downhill incline, however, would be another story; it appears that it would read that as a "backward" lean and try to go backward. I wonder if Honda has incorporated some "logic" circuitry or surface incline indicators which would aid in this?
at 2.45 in the vid it shows them going up and down a ramp
I saw that too, but then I couldn't make out for sure if that was actually a ramp or not???
Yeah, I guess we'll have to develop a Wal-Mart wardrobe for those "special" days
