On HD television there is a series of programs in which various countries (or parts of countries) are filmed from the air in Imax.
The other night I watched such a program on Wales. I knew what to expect a little bit from some of the pics that have been posted here, but I was pleasantly surprised at how rugged and beautiful Wales is, the fantastic coastal areas, etc.
Last night I watched another such program on South Africa. I know virtually nothing about the country and was blown away by the beauty and diverse geography. The "Wild Coast" was magnificant as were the mountains ranges, plains, etc.
Since I live right on the Atlantic Ocean coastal scenes capture my attention quickly.
The helicopter flew over the cities of Wales and South Africa and the narrator explained the features and historic places and events.
This is the kind of television I love to watch :y115: :y115:
