I have done a lot of riding in the bush but I sure cannot imagine riding those bikes like that.

Just think about the roads those guys had to ride those bikes on in the day. Then I suppose it was the case they did not know any different and just did it.

Yes indeed, those were just horse and carriage roads and must have been very hard on rider and machine.

Still, don't suppose they had pot holes in those days.

Few months ago git one as wide as the road. Left me winded. Week or so later, noticed my tank was at a funny angle. It had jumped up, and back down onto bolt, which had pieced it. That was main road from airport to city.
