24 of us met on the edge of town for the annual Canada Day ride and BBQ.
The weather was great, but supposed to be very hot and humid for this time of year. Most of us were dressed lightly for the heat and I wore my mesh jacket so I would get some air at speed.
Here we are at the meeting place at 10:00 AM. As we were leaving I noticed what looked like a line of fog just appearing over the horizon.
We were taking one of our favourite coastal routes and sure enough straight into dense fog and very cold north Atlantic air. I don't mind admitting that I got very cold for a while, but I can stand cold a lot better than extreme heat.
When we reached one of the many coastal fishing villages the line of fog was just offshore so we pulled in at the village community hall to stretch our legs. Along the way we had picked up five more riders.

From there we motored along more coastal roads, but they were away from the line of fog that looked like a wall just offshore, finally arriving at the residence of a club member for a BBQ of hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, home made brown bread and brownies for desert
