That was a very good video. And I agree that rider should learn to ride off road, Riding off road develops skills that will save your butt on pavement. However, the bike I recommend to beginners, assuming that they are not going to try off riding, is the Honda Rebel. It is light, easy to handle, and performs well! One can buy a used Rebel, ride it for a year or tow , and sell it for nearly what the purchase price was. I am not a Honnda fan, but he the Rebeel is the the quintessential beginners bike - and it is a great urban bike.
