I have just installed the new Tec progressive fork springs with the adjustable preload caps
It took me longer to move the handle bars up and out of the way than to install both fork springs
Just watch the video as there are no instructions and just a poor picture of the right side showing the lock nut on the cartridge rod
I used a clothes hanger wire with a small loop to hold it in place while I pulled the spacers/spring and replace said lot
The difference is amazing, I weigh in at 155lbs, so I have the preload set as soft as possible
The bike is more planted in the corners, no more jarring over small bumps and it just makes the bike feel more touring ready
Now for the arse end as the shocks are very basic, and again set at the softest it is still a ruff , jarring ride
I am looking at the top of the line Hagons with the softest springs, any other ideas out there, hopefully from guys who have changed theirs
thanks R6
